Concept
The set of forms an idea can take at a given pipeline stage — the menu selection picks from. Transport generates candidate variants; the medium bounds which of them are viable; selection ranks what remains. Selection never enlarges the option space, it only chooses within it, which is why the medium that writes the menu is the higher-leverage and less visible surface.
